Medical Coldrooms
Medical cold rooms, also known as pharmaceutical cold rooms, are refrigerated storage units that are specifically designed to store medications, vaccines, and other medical products that require temperature-controlled storage. These cold rooms are used in hospitals, clinics, research labs, and other medical facilities.
The storage temperature of medical cold rooms typically ranges from 2 to 8 degrees Celsius, although some units may also have compartments that can maintain temperatures below -20 degrees Celsius. The temperature inside the cold room is maintained using a refrigeration system that includes a compressor, condenser, and evaporator.
One of the most important features of medical cold rooms is their ability to maintain a consistent temperature. Many medical products are highly sensitive to temperature fluctuations, and even small variations can compromise their effectiveness or safety. Medical cold rooms are designed with specialized insulation and temperature control systems to ensure that the temperature inside the room remains within a narrow range.
Medical cold rooms are also designed to meet strict regulatory standards, such as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP). These standards ensure that medical products are stored, transported, and handled in a way that maintains their quality, safety, and efficacy.
Refrigerating medications at a low temperature will preserve their quality, keep them effective, and prolong their shelf life if they have a quality that cannot be preserved under room temperature circumstances. Modern, high-tech flame-retardant insulating materials with exceptional airtightness are used in the sheet material of the cold storage for medications. The cold storage for medicines at Snowland is energy-efficient and ecologically friendly while adhering to architectural standards.
Medicine Cold Storage Types
- Vaccine Storage: At 0℃~8℃, it can be used to store vaccines, medicines, etc.
- Medicine Storage: At 2℃~8℃, it can be used to store medicine, biological products, etc.
- Blood Storage: At 5℃~1℃, it can be used to store blood, pharmaceutical and biological products, etc.
- Low-temperature-maintaining Storage: At -20℃~-30℃, it can store blood plasma, biological materials, vaccines, reagents, etc.
- Ultra-low-temperature-maintaining Storage: At -30℃~-80℃, it can be used to store placenta, semen, stem cells, blood plasma, bone marrow, biological samples, etc.
