Role Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Estimation Engineer – Refrigeration to join our Kolkata team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, equipment sizing, BOQs, and technical proposals for refrigeration and cold storage projects, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimation & Costing

• Analyze project specifications, RFQs, drawings, and client requirements

• Prepare detailed technical and commercial estimates for refrigeration systems

• Develop accurate BOQs, cost breakdowns, and project budgets

• Coordinate with vendors for price quotations and equipment selection

Design Coordination

• Perform basic heat load calculations and equipment sizing (compressors, condensers, evaporators, etc.)

• Work with internal design and engineering teams for layout finalization

• Prepare project proposals, data sheets, and technical submissions

Client Interaction & Support

• Assist the sales team with technical clarifications and revisions

• Support in pre-sales meetings and solution presentations when required

• Respond to consultant/client queries during bid evaluation stage

Documentation & Handover

• Maintain estimation records and databases for reference

• Ensure smooth handover to the project execution team after order finalization

• Support in generating revisions or value-engineered options when needed

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of refrigeration components and system design

• Experience in estimating cold rooms, blast chillers, freezers, IQF, etc.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and basic design tools (Refrigeration load calculators, etc.)

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications

• Good communication and coordination skills

• Commercial awareness and vendor negotiation capability

• Attention to detail, accuracy, and time management

Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Refrigeration Engineering

• 0–5 years of experience in estimation for refrigeration or HVAC industry

• Knowledge of brands like Bitzer, Danfoss, Emerson, etc. is preferred

• Experience with cold storage, food processing plants, or industrial refrigeration is an advantage

Compensation: As per Industry Standard (depending on experience)

Working Days: Monday to Saturday

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding

• Manage end-to-end hiring process including sourcing, screening, and scheduling interviews

HR Operations & Documentation
